Blog Virgin

Ok, so I have jumped on the bandwagon and am starting my own blog. The purpose? Mostly looking for others out there who have the same knitting obsession / illness / addiction that I have. I have found that some of the patterns available out there for free don't always suit what I am specifically looking for. Thus, I have designed some of my own and am willing to share them with the world for the low, low cost of fame. Ok, maybe not fame, but if some day, some where, I see something I have designed, at least my mom will think I'm cool.

So why am I the Needle Ninja? Because I have embraced very two unrelated hobbies of knitting and Tae Kwon Do. If you have come on here looking for moves of death, I am sorry you will be dissapointed unless there is a long needle involved.
I also live in the broiling Sonoran desert southeast of Phoenix, Arizona. Water isn't the only thing there is a dearth of. Knitters willing to brave the heat to hold a half finished wool sweater aren't easy to come by. Even then, when would you wear it? Our two month long winter hovers around 60 degrees. I am trying though. I am always willing to share my knowledge. I am hoping I can find someone closeby who loses all sense of space and time when someone mentions a yarn sale.
Stay tuned and I will upload some of my designs. I designed the two blankets pictured above. One of which won "Best of Show" in the Maricopa County Fair. Hey, at least my mom thinks I'm cool. The sweater is not my design but one by Reynolds yarn.
